Born and raised in Carmi, Lance Barbre attended the University of Illinois. During his academic career, he worked in the Office of Cash Management, where the University’s money flow and endowment funds were invested. Lance received his bachelor’s degree in economics from U of I in 1997 and subsequently began his professional investing career with Hillyard Lyons. Over the next 25 years, he utilized his investment expertise and leadership experience to assist clients in achieving their financial goals. Lance founded CAVU Wealth Advisors in 2023, where he continues to develop wealth management portfolios that meet his clients’ current, as well as legacy, goals.
As an active community member, Lance supports many organizations with both financial contributions and civic leadership. The Kiwanis Club, White County Flying Club, and local youth organizations are some of the groups that Lance supports most passionately. As a father of two, Lance understands the importance of investing today to build for tomorrow. His commitment to the future - of his family, of his community, and of his clients – is a defining component of his business model.
